2024 Commencement Information
We look forward to you joining us in celebrating the graduates of the Class of 2024. We recognize that this is a special day for you and your student. In preparation for these ceremonies, we want to ensure our senior families have the most accurate and up-to-date information. Knowing the importance of this event and that some family members may be unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be live-streamed on the VCUSD Communications YouTube page.

General Information
- The graduation ceremony is intended for adult learners from Vallejo Adult School who have completed requirements for the high school diploma or have successfully completed high school equivalency testing (GED / HiSET).
- The ceremony is not a shared event with any other school.
- This ceremony is important for all families. We ask that all guests be respectful during the entire ceremony, specifically during the presentation of the graduates, to ensure that everyone receives their moment of recognition.
- Tickets are required upon entry and will be collected at the venue entrance. Since tickets are collected upon entry, please understand that we will not permit anyone to reenter if they leave the venue at any point.
- Note that children three years old or younger will not require a ticket if they do not occupy a seat.
Arrival
- Please arrive early to allow plenty of time for parking. Public street parking is available.
- Doors will open for guest entry at 9:00 AM. Graduates need to arrive by 9:30 AM at the latest. The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 AM.
- Standard safety protocols will be used to enter the facility to ensure the safety and security of all graduates and their guests.
- Family and guests are not allowed in the graduate holding area before the ceremony.
- We encourage all families and friends to leave space between groups and strongly recommend wearing masks.
Seating
- Seats are on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Groups planning to sit together should arrange to meet outside the venue and enter together.
Venue and Prohibited Items
- Appropriate behavior is expected of all students and family members during the ceremony.
- Please do not bring noisemakers, balloons, umbrellas, or any other items that may distract from or block a view of the graduation ceremony. If you bring prohibited items to the stadium, staff will secure them and will not be allowed in the venue.
- Videotaping and photography are permitted only from the seats in the audience. Guests are not allowed on the field during the ceremony.
